Wash urad daal 3-4 times in water. Soak in enough water for 6 hours or overnight discard the water. Then Grind soaked urad dal in grinder to smooth paste remove in a bowl.

Then add cumin seeds + salt + green chillies & curry leaves (chopped) + rice flour and mix it very nicely.

Heat oil in kadhai. first wet your hands then take some mixture on plams and with wet finger make hole in center. Drop in hot oil. Similarly make more vada's. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.

Serve delicious mendu vada with coconut chutney and sambhar.
