Rice kheer

In a pan add the milk and keep for boiling till the the quantity is half. Now add sugar and stir for few minutes to get the sugar melted. Add crushed cardamoms, bay leaf.

Now add the rice and keep for boiling. Add 2/3 portion of cashew, pistachio. Add the kismis and stir occassionally to ensure the rice is not stuck at the bottom of the pan. Once the rice is boiled, add milk powder and mix well. If you see the kheer became dry then add water or milk and make it semi wet.

Once done, pour in a serving bowl, garnish with remaining cashew and pista.

If you are having condensed milk then instead of adding sugar (mentioned in first step), add the condensed milk with the boiled milk and follow the remaining steps,. Also remember, milk powder is not needed if already condensed milk is added.
