Ingredients

Approx 4-5 katori
  1. 1 cupdaliya / broken wheat
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 2 cupwater
  4. 15-20almonds
  5. 15-20cashew
  6. 15-20pistachio
  7. 15-20raisins
  8. 2 tablespoonghee
  9. 2 teaspoon or (about5-6 pods)elaichi / cardamom
  10. 8 to 10 strandsKesar for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a pressure cooker put daliya into it.. roast it for 10 min on sim flame till it's light in colour.Now add water to it and close the lid of pressure cooker.Just one whistle of pressure cooker. Don't take out the steam...After opening the pressure cooker add sugar to it and keep it on sim so that sugar melts into daliya.Once the sugar melts switch off the gas.

    Take a fry pan add ghee to it.. keep it on sim when the oil is hot put raisins in it... U have to be very quick while taking out raisins..(whenU will put raisins in hot ghee immediately it will be bloomed so take it out quickly).now in the same ghee roast cashew and almonds too..

    Now put all the ingredients ie. Cashew almomd,raisins, pistachio along with the ghee in the pressure cooker. Add elaichi to it. Keep it again on the gas for just 5 min. Your shahi daliya is ready. Garnish with Kesar and elaichi.
