Dessert dumplings from China
Recipe from Rasa Malaysia
Cooking Instructions
- 1
To make the syrup, grab a pot and boil water in it. Add the pandan leaves and ginger. Bring to boil on medium heat until it creates the scent of pandan and ginger. Add sugar and let simmer for another 15 minutes and set aside
- 2
In a big bowl, mix your flour and water together. Knead mixture until it forms a dough or until it doesn’t stick to your hands anymore
- 3
Divide dough into 3 portions with the uncolored portion being the biggest. Add 2 drops of each food coloring onto the other 2 portions to make red and yellow dough
- 4
Pinch dough into small balls and roll them with your hands until they become round
- 5
Set your dough balls aside on a flat surface covered with paper or cloth
- 6
Boil another pot of water and place your dough balls into it. Transfer dough into syrup once they start floating
- 7
Enjoy!

Zhīma Tāngyuán Black Sesame Dumplings Zhīma Tāngyuán Black Sesame Dumplings
If you ask for sesame dumplings in China, this is what you get. In Taiwan, it's served with cold syrup. This is much healthier and tastier than fried dumplings, but I never get these in Chinese restaurants here. That's why I decided to make them at home!If you freeze them after they're boiled, you only need to microwave them to serve. You can also chill or freeze the black sesame filling separately. It's also amazing when served floating in your favorite drinks or syrup. It is very simple to make food for a heavy snack best goes with tea or coffee ( I prefer black coffee for this one). So what is Tutong? Tangy and Spicy Mango (Simple Indonesian Mango Rujak) Tangy and Spicy Mango (Simple Indonesian Mango Rujak)
Most Indonesians I know love rujak. Rujak is made of vegetables and fruits with special sauce. Sometimes the sauce is nut-based. This is a simple dish, very easy to make. Adjust the spiciness to your liking by adding more chili peppers. If you grind the chili peppers, this rujak will taste spicier and tastier. You can substitute unripe mango with carambola/starfruit, amberella, jicama, guava, water guava, etc. You can also add all of those in addition to mango. Angela Mertoyono
