Soak chana daal for 4 hrs then drain off the water.. Take a blender add daal..then make a coarse paste..Do not make smooth paste it's okay if whole daal remains it gives crunchy taste..do not add water while grinding..

In a bowl add daal,onion, green chillies, corrinder leaves, salt and mix all the ingredients..the consistency of the batter should be thick..

Make small balls and press between the palm and make vadas..

Take a pan..Heat oil and deep fry the vadas...

Take them out half fried in a napkin.. press them flat gently and do second fry till cripsy..

Serve vadas with green chutney or tomato sauce..
