Kannu vecha pathiri

Steps

Add wheat flour, all purpose flour, ghee, salt and sugar in a bowl and mix well.

Add water and prepare a soft dough.

Oil the dough and cover with a wet cloth.

Keep aside for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, knead the dough again and divide into four portions.

Take one portion and roll out into a round disc.

Brush oil on top and fold one half into the middle.

Then fold the other side overlapping the first one.

Spread oil again on top and fold one side as given in picture.

Again fold the other half overlapping the first one.

With a rolling pin roll out into square.

Spread oil and fold each corner of the square pathiri inside.

Press it lightly and roll it out little.

Make all in the same manner.

Deep fry the prepared pathiris in hot oil, keep the folded side on top.

Then slowly flip to the other side.

Fry the pathiri until golden brown.

Remove it to a paper napkin and serve.
