Instant Raw Mango Chunda

Aam Chunda.. A sweet, sour and mild spicy Gujarati pickle recipe, made with raw mangoes, sugar and very few spices. The traditional process of making chunda is time consuming. Here I am sharing a quick and less time consuming version of aam chunda recipe.

Aam Chunda.. A sweet, sour and mild spicy Gujarati pickle recipe, made with raw mangoes, sugar and very few spices. The traditional process of making chunda is time consuming. Here I am sharing a quick and less time consuming version of aam chunda recipe.

Firstly, heat a pan on low flame. Add grated raw mangoes. Stir for 2-3 minutes.

Add in the sugar, mix well. Keep stirring.

Stir continously until sugar dissolve completely.

Add in the salt and turmeric powder.

Keep stirring until it reaches one string consistency.

Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down completely.

Once it is cooled completely, add chilli powder and cumin powder. Stir well until well combined. Once cooled, store chunda in a sterilized glass jar.

Serve chunda as a condiment with theplas, pooris or parathas.
Here I served it with masala parathas and pumpkin curry.
It will last for about one year.
