Curd rice is very healthy and light for stomach.It is a popular comfort food in South India and very easy to make.Adding fresh fruits or grated carrot are other add ons but optional.Serve curd rice chilled.

Curd rice is very healthy and light for stomach.It is a popular comfort food in South India and very easy to make.Adding fresh fruits or grated carrot are other add ons but optional.Serve curd rice chilled.

Mash lightly freshly cooked rice.Mix the curd when the rice is cooled.Heat oil and fry curry leaves.Then sprinkle asafoetida, mustard,urad and chana dal.Add this tempering to the rice and toss.Add little milk and if needed water may be added if the curd rice is very thick.Garnish with fried curry leaves and chopped coriander.Pomegranate,grapes or other fresh fruits may be mixed as added garnishing.Serve chilled.
