Steps

Proof your yeast for 5mins in a cup of water

Sift flour and add in sugar and other dry ingredients and mix well

Mix liquid ingredients in a bowl and add to dry ingredients and mix well

Transfer to a smooth surface and knead using the margarine
- 5
Add in more flour if necessary

Knead till soft, springy and elastic and smooth, cover with a damp towel or cling film and let rise for 1hr
- 7
Cut into balls, roll and braid/twist/ tie into a Celtic knot, or be adventurous and create your special shape
- 8
Deep fry in hot oil
