- So, basically, this is a dish that my mom has been making since forever and one day asked her how to make it. She was amused because it was so obvious, but she did tell me. So whenever I'm looking for a quick snack, this is usually what I choose to make, among other things.

- This was a decent recipe though I wasn't a fan of the cheese, still it turned out pretty yummy regardless, especially when I deep fried it after baking. If not for the crispy skin, I'm not sure I would have liked it as much. Something I would definitely make for guests with a few variations to the original recipe; powdered not grated cheese, bread crumbs instead of stuffing mix, and more seasoning for the chicken itself before dipping. - So for me, i needed to pan fry them after baking them to get the crispness i wanted. Granted, it coukd have been because of my crappy fire alarm going off every five minutes and pissing me off that i just gave up on the oven rather than baking them for another few minutes in there. - Boiled the eggplant for long so be careful about that everyone! It only needs to boil, for a few minutes, if even that long. I substited the nutmeg w/ cinnamon and since I don't use spices besides my regular--salt, pepper, sometimes lemon pepper, and garlic powder--it seemed not to ruin the white sauce much. But the white sauce, itself?I have to say that it was very bland and was only uplifted by the spice used. If I had written that recipe I would have made a note of it's bland taste, offered alternatives or some invredients to add to liven it up a little. I understand that the sauce is really just an accent to the filling but even still, instead of adding to it, I feel like it just took away from it. Oh, and I used ground beef instead of chicken since that's what I have at home when I found that recipe but I feel like the chicken would have been a better choice, meat-wise. Añadir comentario
