Simple vanilla cake recipe (charcoal jiko baked)

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups(all purpose flour)
  2. 3eggs
  3. 1 tbspbaking powder
  4. 1 cupsugar
  5. 1/2 cupmilk
  6. 2 tbspmargarine
  7. Vanilla essence
  8. 1 pinchsalt

Cooking Instructions

    Gather all ingredients and tools

  2. 2

    In a clean bowl put the flour, pinch of salt and baking powder and mix together

  3. 3

    In another bowl put the eggs and whisk untilll fluffy then add sugar and margarine and mix them together...and milk to the mixture until you achieve consistency

  4. 4

    Add the dry mix to the wet mix and continue whisking until its smooth

  5. 5

    Prepare your sufuria by greasing with margarine and dust with a little flour

  6. 6

    Add your paste into the sufuria

  7. 7

    Lit your jiko and put another big sufuria with salt or sand inside to heat for 10 minutes

  8. 8

    Put your small sufuria in the big sufuria and cover it with a tight lid and add some charcoal on top

  9. 9

    Bake for 50 minutes and remove it from the jiko to cool

  10. 10

    Once cooled you can put the cake on a plate and enjoy with a cold beverage or your choice
