This is a go to recipe for me when I have drop in company. I've made it using the dough & once or twice I even used baked bread to make it!

This is a work in progress. Nearby Fort Myers Beach restaurants are known for their "beach bread" appetizer. Basically it is blue cheese, fresh chopped tomatoes topped with mozzarella cheese, then baked on a hoagie or sub roll. I've been trying to work on a pizza which incorporates some of the same ingredients but more of a main dish pizza. If you try make this recipe I would love to hear what you think and whether you would make changes for the better, especially if you have sampled beach bread on Fort Myers Beach.

My kids love pizza and bug me all the time for pizza. I get tired of frozen pizza and sometimes don’t have the money to order a pizza. This works out great and everyone is happy. It’s easy and quick, and I also make my pizza dip, with this and have a pizza night. I like to cut a chunk off and put it on a plate with dipping sauce, and put some pizza dip and baguettes for each kids plate , and they still get to eat it like monkey bread. This is so easy and so good, it’s better than the frozen pizzas at the store. I have made this for camping and it turned out great . I’ve also been making this for years. I cook with my kids and this is a good recipe and easy one for any kid at any age .. (we shop for the ingredients on who wants what because let’s face it not everyone likes the same thing, and I set up the table with all the ingredients and let them have at it) you can go cheap with ingredients or go all out. I like getting different kinds of cheeses each time I make this. (For 4-5 people I use 3-4 breads I do have boys who like to eat and eat.) #cookingwithkids #pizza #teencooking

I made this after seeing Pizza Hut's version. I made it without sauce, and my hubby said it was one of his favorite meals! :positive
