Crispy edges, flaky interior, and cheese all throughout. These are such a delight on the side of your next meal!

Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.

Use a pastry cutter or your hands to crush cold butter into the dry mix, leaving some larger and smaller chunks.

Place bowl in fridge while prepping cheese and chives.

Add cheese, chives, and buttermilk to the flour-butter mix. Stir until just combined.

Turn dough onto floured surface. Pat into a rectangle.

Cut dough into four pieces, stack them, press down, and repeat stacking 3 times.

Shape dough and cut into 16 biscuits (or 8 large ones).

Bake at 220°C (425°F) until golden, about 15-18 minutes.
Tips
Keep the butter as cold as possible for flaky layers.
