The combination has a very silky and creamy texture that really goes well with the crunchy crackers and walnuts.I love Oreos and I used them as they are not as crunchy as other crackers and the texture blends well with the smooth yoghurt

Crockpot Greek Yogurt
Two recipes in one. To make yogurt just drain it for an hrs after it’s done. For Greek yogurt, drain it in the refrigerator overnight. There is no sugar or fruits added, can add all that stuff later as needed, I didn’t want my big batch to be just one flavor, I wanted to use it For different things, like (To make a flavor batch just get the flavor yogurt with live culture, like vanilla for example )for cooking, so it’s all plain . I made yogurt and I took the other half and made Greek yogurt. If you don’t want a big batch I put that in here too. When making this , do not peek at it, or remove lid at anytime. The only time this lid comes off is the step where you add the starter yogurt and that’s it, I can’t stress this enough as it will not work if that lid comes off , even for a sneak peek and you wasted all that time. There is nothing to making just time. If you have other people in the house when this is being made, make sure everyone knows not to touch it , or remove that lid, or the towel in that last step, if you have to put a do not touch note on it. I watched 3 videos on how to do this before i attempted this , I will put them in the notes below for anyone who wants a better understanding before trying this. I highly recommend watching them , the first one is about 8 mins the other one is 19 mins long.

When you make fresh greek yoghurt overnight from half a gallon of full milk and a cup of leftover greek yoghurt, you end up with whey and yoghurt. When you pour off the whey, the yoghurt still has whey in it. Using salt and cheesecloth, twisting the cloth, and draining the mixture another day, the salt removes more whey from the yoghurt till it turns to a delicious fresh cheese that tastes like feta cheese. Reuse the whey.
