we are the huge fans of mutton/chicken steam roasts😍and Today tried out this unique nutritious, and delicious dish popular in Pakistan. It is prepared by roasting the marinated chicken in home kitchen.The main highlight of Steam Roast Chicken recipe is the marination batter that includes curd, red chili, salt, garlic, black pepper, cumin seeds and all spices. Ingredients

5-6 servings
  1. 1.75 kgchicken (you can use only leg pieces)
  2. 1/2 cupvinegar
  3. water as required
  4. 1/2 cuphung curd (you can use regular yoghurt)
  5. 1 tspred chilli powder
  6. 2 tbslemon juice
  7. 1 tspchilli flakes
  8. 1 tspblack pepper powder
  9. 1 tspwhite pepper powder
  10. salt as per taste
  11. 1 tbswhole spices
  12. 2 tbsginger garlic paste
  13. 1/4 tspyellow/orange color
  14. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  15. 3 tbstomato sauce
  16. slicesFew lemon
  17. ginger julienne cut
  18. 1 tbssoya sauce
  19. 2 tbschilli sauce
  20. 2 tspcoriander powder
  21. 1 tspcumin powder
  22. 2 tbsoil
  23. 2 tspchat masala
  24. 1 tspsesame seeds
  25. 4-5butter paper
  26. Oil for deep frying

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, make cuts on the chicken pieces then add water in a deep pot mix salt and dip in the chicken pieces for 20 to 30 minutes then drain out.

    In a mixing pot add curd and rest of the ingredients

    Mix well and keep aside

    Meanwhile heat oil in a wok and deep fry all chicken pieces for 5 minutes on high flame then keep aside and let them cool down properly

    Now add in the marination and coat very well and rest for an hour

    Add some water in a deep pot/steamer add 2-3 green cardamoms bay leaves black pepper corns cumin seeds cinnamon stick and used lemon peels for a nice aroma let it boil.

    Place butter paper on steamer then chicken pieces sprinkle sesame seeds and chilli flakes

    Put some lemon slices and ginger over it.

    Wrap up with butter paper cover and place a weight on it for air tight steam.Keep the flame on high for 5 minutes then turn on medium low for 30 minutes or until done.

    Dish it out garnish with lemon slices and enjoy
