Basic Choux Pastry Basic Choux Pastry
I wanted to make a choux pastry that was crispy on the outside and airy on the inside.Add the flour all in one go and cook thoroughly. Do not burn.Do not add too much beaten egg.I used granulated sugar to produce a crispier choux pastry. If you spray it with water, you will have usual (soft) choux pastry.I used the soft type choux pastries for the top photo. For 20 mini choux and 10 large ones. Recipe by MiP cookpad.japan -

Danish pastry Danish pastry
I don't think I will be able to eat a store bought danish after being spoiled by these. Big thanks to my friend who so kindly shared this recipe with me and spent hours instructing me. Takes about 5 hours to make (including chilling time, but well worth the effort). Dough can made ahead and refrigerated for 3 days. Or shaped and frozen for approx 3 months. Please see my cream cheese and raspberry filling recipes for some homemade filling inspiration. You can always use jam or preserves too! Lil_Momma -
Vanilla Custard Pastry Cream Vanilla Custard Pastry Cream
I learned this recipe from a baker in Japan who uses this cream for Japanese "cream pan" (custard-cream-filled rolls). This would be great for cream puffs, crepes, or anything else you need a thick cream for! I usually cut the recipe in thirds for smaller portions. Felice -

How was your long Fourth of July weekend?? Did you eat a lot?? I hope so!!!I’m sharing this recipe that I’ve been making since I was in high school. I learned it from my first boyfriend’s mom 🤭, she was such an amazing cook… Truly incredible! So you can imagine how many years I’ve been making it!!I usually make it in the form of a “coca” (a flat pastry), but this time, since I was bringing dessert to a friend’s house and there were going to be quite a few of us, I made individual portions!Come on, give them a try if you’re having lunch or dinner with friends or family… You’ll definitely impress everyone! Easy Apple Pie with Frozen Puff Pastry Easy Apple Pie with Frozen Puff Pastry
You may have seen a recipe like this a long time ago, but this is the apple pie my mother used to make when I was a child. Now it's what I like to make for my own family.Basically, it's foolproof, since you use frozen puff pastry. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to make sure the apple filling isn't watery, and not to put too much in or it will leak out. If it leaks out, it will burn and the pastry won't puff.
