Ingredients

  1. 3 cupscooked rice { white / brown with little Biryani masala}
  2. 2 cupchickpeas, soaked overnight & boiled
  3. 1 tspjeera
  4. 1 inchginger chopped
  5. 4-5 clovesgarlic 🧄 crushed
  6. 2medium onion 🧅 finely chopped
  7. as per requirementOil / ghee for gravy
  8. as requiredSalt to taste
  9. 2medium tomatoes 🍅 chopped
  10. as requiredFried brown sliced onion, for garnish
  11. as requiredCoriander Leaves & chopped green chili for garnish
  12. as requiredPomegranate seeds for garnish
  13. As requiredGinger julienne & slited green chili for garnish
  14. Pindi Chole masala ~
  15. 10 gmkaju powder
  16. 2 tbspchole masala { MDH / EVERSEST IS BETTER } 10 gm sesame powder 1 tsp roasted jeera powder 1 tsp garlic powder
  17. 1-1/2 tspginger powder
  18. 1 tsp chat Masala
  19. 1 tsp anardana powder
  20. 1 tsp brown sugar
  21. ½ tsp dry mint leaves powder
  22. 1 tsp salt
  23. 1 tbsp onion powder
  24. whole spices
  25. 1 black Elaichi
  26. 1bay leaf
  27. ½ tbsp kasoori methi
  28. 1 piece cInnamon

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl mix all the things ; heat oil & add the whole spices; after it cools down add it to the mixture & store in airtight container

    Mix the masala with 1-1/2 cup of water& keep aside; heat oil in a pan add jeera add onion sauté till brown add ginger green chili & garlic sauté it add tomato 🍅 paste & cook it add the paste & boil for 2-3 min add boiled Chana & cook for 5 min

    Assembling the biryani ~

    In a glass jar (with a wide mouth) grease some ghee on the base. Layer some white rice, followed by some chole, Spread green chilli, brown onions, pomegranate & coriander leaves. Repeat same & jar biryani is ready. Alternatively you can layer them in a handi / glass bowl and dum it enjoy with choice of your Raita & salad
