Simple oatmeal Simple oatmeal
I'm trying to loose weight and oatmeal prepared at home is a great way to kick start your day as its low in saturated fat and you get to control sugar and all the ingredients. Also, its very filling versus cereal or the pre packaged oatmeals for me. SaraTheMadam -
Cranberry Orange Steel Cut Oats Cranberry Orange Steel Cut Oats
I had leftover fresh cranberries and was making my weekly oatmeal breakfasts. This came out really good. While still hot I divide into 5 containers and put in fridge so I can just microwave on way out the door. The oatmeal continues to thicken once in fridge. In morning just microwave 2 minutes, add a little sugar free orange marmalade and some walnuts and enjoy! Gluten free and my version is sugar free too!Littleofthis

Maple and Brown Sugar Steel Cut Oats (Big Batch) Maple and Brown Sugar Steel Cut Oats (Big Batch)
Some weeks, I'll make a batch of steel cut oats on Sunday night to have in the fridge for quick and easy breakfasts throughout the week. This is my variation of a classic flavor combo. You can adjust the amounts of maple syrup and brown sugar to your liking. Just be sure if you're making this to keep on hand, you use steel cut oats, as they reheat the best throughout the week.
