Fried Cabbage...

i have a recipe on my profile for a recipe called...... OLD DUTCH POT and it is smoked sausage, cabbage, and potatoes. I posted it this way because my mother doesn't like meat in her cabbage... so i make the OLD DUTCH POT for me and my hubby. :-)...

i have a recipe on my profile for a recipe called...... OLD DUTCH POT and it is smoked sausage, cabbage, and potatoes. I posted it this way because my mother doesn't like meat in her cabbage... so i make the OLD DUTCH POT for me and my hubby. :-)...
Cooking Instructions

fry the bacon until crisp. I usually use a cast iron Dutch oven.

should be about an inch of bacon drippings in the pan.

cut up cabbage and discard the core of the cabbage.

the oil should be on Med. stir the cabbage to coat the cabbage. wilt lettuce to about 1/2 its volume.

add the onion, salt, and pepper.

stir to mix. add the water and turn down to Med low... cover..
- 7
stir every 10 minutes. let cook for 20-30 minutes, until cabbage is tender.
