old family favorite that is fast easy and great to make
Cooking Instructions

sift flour, baking soda, and salt together in a small bowl
- 2
in a large bowl beat eggs until light in color, then slowly add sugar, beat until light and fluffy

add dry ingredients alternating with fruit cocktail (with juice)
- 4
combine brown sugar and nuts
- 5
pour cake batter into a greased 9x13 pan and sprinkle with the brown sugar and nuts mixture

bake at 350*F for 30--35mins

My husband wanted to eat a summer-style cake, so I made one that suited his tastes by referring to a few different recipes I found in an American cooking magazine.The coconut will burn easily, so be careful. The coconut in the photo was burned slightly in Step 1. You can use plain yoghurt instead of sour cream. It will have a lighter finish. Drain the pineapple well before adding it.
