@partytime335 Green onions are about 6 to 8 inches long and are....green. They are also called scallions but in Canada we just call them green onions. Punch "green onion" into Google for some pictures.

  5. 3Red Thai chillies, chopped
  6. 3 tbspDark soy sauce
  7. 2 tbspRice vinegar
  8. 3 tbspChicken stock
  9. 4 tbspSugar
  10. 1 tbspSesame oil
  11. 1 tbspCorn starch
  12. 2 tbspVegetable oil
  13. 1Black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the chicken thighs into 1 to 2 inch pieces. Season with black pepper and marinade in a bowl for 10 minutes with a splash of soy sauce. Cook in a non stick frying pan until browned. Set aside for later.

  2. 2

In a large clean frying pan heat the vegetable oil over medium high heat. Add garlic, ginger, chillies and half of the green onions. Cook together until softened, about 2 minutes.

  3. 3

Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, chicken stock, sugar and sesame oil. Bring to a boil and then stir in the chicken. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

Mix the corn starch with a small amount of water in a cup. Increase the heat on the frying pan to bring to a boil. Slowly stir in the corn starch mixture to thicken the sauce to your liking, its not necessary to add all of the corn starch.

  5. 5

Add the remaining green onions and cook for 1 minute.
