Slow Cooker Chai Tea Brisket

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Dry all moisture off of the brisket with a few paper towels.
- 2
Season each side of the roast generously with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
- 3
Heat olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- 4
When the oil is hot, add the brisket to the skillet. Sear on all sides for 3-4 min each, or until a brown crust forms on each side.
- 5
Place the brisket in a slow cooker.
- 6
Turn the skillet heat to medium and add the garlic cloves and thyme to the skillet. Cook the herbs until fragrant and the garlic is turning golden, about 2-3 min.
- 7
Add all ingredients to the slow cooker with the brisket. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Slice or shred, drizzle with juices from crockpot.

Chai Tea Mix Chai Tea Mix
I developed this mix recipe more than a decade ago for my granddaughter Bree, who's a Chai lover. Recently, my granddaughter Dellaney requested the recipe, and I realized I'd never added it to my Cookpad collection. So here it is so all my grands and great-grands can always find and enjoy it. This makes about 6 cups of Chai mix. I've also used this mix, packaged cutely with a fun mug, for gifting. Maggie Conlon -

I researched how to make the pork long-lasting in order to make packing a bento every morning as easy as possible. In order to extend the pork storage life, be sure to add vinegar in the simmering liquid, as well as to keep the cutting board, cooking chopsticks, knife and plastic bag or storage container clean. Take out only what you need from the plastic bag or container with clean chopsticks, and store the rest immediately tightly closed in the refrigerator. Recipe by Takki- mama san cookpad.japan -
