I have meaning to make pizza at home for a while. Today i took a leap of faith. For my first trial, I was elated by the outcome. I cant wait for the second trial.

Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoonyeast
  2. 1 tablespoonsugar
  3. 50 mlhot water
  4. 1 cupall purpose flour
  5. 1 tablespoonoliveoil
  6. 1 teaspoonsalt
  7. 3tomatoes
  8. 1onion
  9. 4garlic cloves
  10. Black pepper
  11. Ginger powder
  12. 1 tablespoonvegetable oil
  13. 100 gminced meat
  14. I/4 pineapple chopped
  15. Mint leaves chopped
  16. Mozzarella cheese grated

    For the Pizza dough. Start by adding a table spoon of inactive dry yeast to 50ml of hot water. Add spoonful of sugar and let it rest for 20 minutes. You will notice the yeast starts to get formy.

    In a bowl add the flour, enough salt to taste, and olive oil. add the yeast and mix well. if needs be add more water for kneading. knead the dough well. make sure its very soft. once you are satisfied, let it rest for 20 minutes. keep it covered.

    For the pizza base. Skin 2 tomatoes, add garlic cloves and blend to smooth consistecy.

    Chop the onion finely, fry it add the blended paste. Season with pepper, ginger, basil and salt (You can add as many spices as you want at this point). let it boil, keep stirring until the paste thickens well.

    For the toppings, season the minced meat with salt and black pepper, add chopped onion and put it to cook well. set aside

    Spread out your rested dough in flat surface. make a round shape. then fork it. Forking helps it to cook well inside

    Apply the pizza base evenly and generously.

    Spread grated mozzarella cheese evenly and generously

    Add the toppings, start with the minced meat, the pineapples, tomatoes and mint leaves. (you can be as creative with the toppings).

    Add more mozzarella cheese on top of the toppings.

    Grease the baking tray with olive oil to prevent thr dough from sticking. Lay over your pizza. Preheat your oven at 180 degrees and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Voila. time to indulge.
