I improvised on this because I used what I had on hand. the kids loved it and asked me to save some for lunch so that is a good thing. it turned out a little sloppy but it was pretty good.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lbhamburger
  2. 1 cangreen beans
  3. 1 canpeas
  4. 1 cancarrots. I didn't have corn so I used peas and carrots
  5. 1instant mashed potatoes. I only had 2 cups left so made do with what I had
  6. 1milk for the potatoes
  7. 1butter for the potatoes
  8. 1water for the potatoes
  9. 1half a block of mild cheddar cheese shredded
  10. 2 canof tomatoe soup
  11. 1half a small can of tomato paste and about half a can of water. I improvised since I only had 2 cans of tomato soup
  12. 1 dashof red pepper
  13. 1few dashes of garlic powder
  14. 1few dashes of salt
  15. 1few dashes of pepper
  16. 1few dashes of onion powder
  17. 1basil to your taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

cook your hamburger in a frying pan with all of the dry seasonings until no longer pink. drain the grease.

  2. 2

in the frying pan add in 1 can of tomato soup. then add in the hamburger.

  3. 3

add in your drained veggies. mix

  4. 4

    preheat oven to 350

  5. 5

add in second. can of tomato soup. mix. if it isn't enough sauce add in another can of tomato soup or do what I did and add in tomato paste and some water. mix. keep on low heat. taste. add extra of any seasoning if needed

  6. 6

make the instant mashed potatoes or you can do your own. if you do that start them before your hamburger.

  7. 7

if the cheese is not shredded then shread that. I used half a block so I am not sure but I think it was maybe half a cup to a cup of cheese

  8. 8

take everything off heat when your ready to combine.

  9. 9

in a casserole dish put the meat and veggie mix into it. then add the shredded cheese on top of that. then put your potatoes on top.

  10. 10

bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes or just until the potatoes are turning a golden brown

  11. 11

pull it out. let it sit for 5 minutes. then serve. enjoy

I was a stay home mother for years, and loved it. I'm always interested in trying new things and try to get my kids to try things at least once. I don't measure a lot of things. I go by taste and need to work on that .... I use a lot of different recipes, enjoy looking at ones online and trying them . I tend to change things to so you never know. I haven't been able to cook much for a bit , but I'm hoping to change that soon.
