Creamy, Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole ; 2 Ways!

i was looking for a tuna casserole recipe for my hubby and couldn't find exactly what i was looking for, so i played around and ended up making so much i made 2 of them; 1 with onions for my husband, and one topped with bread crumbs (or crushed ritz) and cheese for my kids, yum!

Ingredients

12 servings
  1. 2 cangood quality tuna, 12 oz each
  2. 1 lbelbow noodles, drained and cooked for minimum cook time
  3. 1 1/4 cupmilk
  4. 3/4 cupsour cream
  5. 2 cancream of chicken soup, or 1 can each cream of chicken and celery if preferred
  6. 1/2 cancheddar cheese soup
  7. 1 tbspmayonnaise
  8. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  9. 1 tbsponion soup mix; if you want onions. i sift out the onions from the soup and add as well
  10. 1 tsponion powder
  11. 4 cupshredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
  12. 1/2 cupcrushed ritz crackers or italian bread crumbs; optional

Cooking Instructions

    preheat oven to 350°F. in large bowl, mix tuna and mayonnaise, stir.

    add all wet ingredients and spices and onions from soup if desired. this makes 2 casseroles so i only add onions to one. mix well and add noodles; stir to incorporate.

    pour tuna noodle mixture into 2 lasagna tins sprayed with cooking spray. (you can also use glass casserole if you prefer.)

    top with shredded cheese and either bread crumbs or crushed ritz crackers if desired

    cook about 25 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. you can serve one and freeze the second for another time if you want! enjoy

im an italian mom from nj with 3 very fussy eaters...3 kids (ages 16, 20 & 24) :D very hard to find dishes they all agree on, and now my oldest became a vegetarian so even harder! lol. but love this app and all the great people! i love cooking for and spending time with my family. all things beauty, true crime books and shows,and I'm very interested in homeopathic and natural cures, and living a positive and grateful life... and im a diehard NY Ranger fan.oh, and i LOVE bacon! so thats me :-)
