Ingredients

  1. 1small bowl ragi flour
  2. 1small bowl semolina
  3. 1small bowl sour curd
  4. 1/2 glasswater (as required)
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. for tempering--
  7. 1.5 tspmustard seeds
  8. 1.5 tbspmustard oil
  9. 1 tspgrate ginger
  10. 1finely chopped green chilli
  11. 1 tspfruit salt (eno)
  12. Halflemon juice
  13. 2carrot grate
  14. for decoration--
  15. 1 tbspstrawberry jam
  16. some cheddar cheese
  17. 2thin slices of cucumbers
  18. 3 tbspgrated carrots

Cooking Instructions

    In to a mixing bowl put ragi flour, curd,salt to taste, and semolina mix with spatula add little by little some water make smooth consistency batter.

    Now cover and rest it for 15 minutes keep it aside.

    Heat the tadka pan with 1tbsp oil add mustard seeds spatula add some curry leaves stir few seconds add grated carrots stir fry 40 seconds on high flame. Now turn off the heat and pour the tdka prepared mixture,ginger and green chili mix it properly keep it aside.

    Heat the kadai with a 2 cup of water keep the stand. And gress the idli stand with remaining oil.

    Now add the eno,lemon juice in the prepared batter mix with spatula and pour the batter immediately in the greased mould and keep the mould on the stand kept in kadai.

    And cover and cook on medium flame for it12 min.

    Check with toothpick if in come out clean it's done.

    Same process make these all idlies and turn off the flame.

    When cool down demould and transfer them on a plate

    Now make the eyes and lip portion with strawberries jam hair with grated carrot, eyebrows with cheddar cheese, and leg portion with cucumber slices. Now it is done

    You can enjoy it with sambhr and coconut chutney.
