No-Bake! Dreamy Layered Purple Kyoho Grape Cheesecake No-Bake! Dreamy Layered Purple Kyoho Grape Cheesecake
After being inspired by a post from a fellow netizen, I couldn't resist the urge to experience grape picking myself. So, in May, I made a special trip to the grape hometown of Xihu, Changhua, to pick grapes. The 'Shanmei Vineyard' I visited is a greenhouse vineyard, where the owner carefully tends to the grapes, each one grown with milk. Initially, we planned to pick just 2-3 bunches since there aren't many people at home, but after tasting the freshly picked grapes, we changed our minds! We ended up picking over 10 bunches, filling up two boxes before calling it a day. The Kyoho milk grapes are juicy and delicious, and you can even eat the skin—truly amazing! Since we picked so many grapes, I started making grape cakes as soon as I got home. This time, I made a layered grape cheesecake with one purple layer, one white layer, and a top layer of clear jelly filled with fresh grapes. It's incredibly refreshing to enjoy chilled in the summer. Sharing this recipe with everyone—feel free to try it out! ❤️ For more recipes, visit: https://missyuan.cooking/grape-cheesecake/ 小圓姐姐愛料理Translated from Cookpad Taiwan -
California Farm Verjus Grape Juice Vinegar California Farm Verjus Grape Juice Vinegar
Unripe grapes are sour and make a very special mild vinegar substitute called verjus. The bottom grapes on a cluster of red or white grapes are the last to ripen, and one and the same cluster quite often holds sweet grapes on top and sour grapes on the bottom. You can press these sour grapes into grape juice. You can make a wonderful vinegar substitute with this tart, sour, grape juice. We use it to make Dijon mustard. To buy sour grapes in the store, taste the bottom grape, buy the cluster, and separate the sour grapes from the sweet ones, usually a dozen or so. You can also ask your friendly farmers market seller to bring you 2 pounds of unripe grapes to make a pint of verjus. Hobby Horseman -
Jiggly Kyoho Grape Jello That is Full of Grapes Jiggly Kyoho Grape Jello That is Full of Grapes
This is a rearranged version of a recipe of my own. I learned how to peel the grapes at a restaurant. I remembered that I had left off last year searching for that perfect jello consistency using 100% grape juice. I finished my experimentation recently, and came up with this recipe.・By blanching the grapes, it will be far easier to peel them and the grapes will be prettier.・When using grapes with seeds, cut the grapes in halves and remove the seeds.・The jello is very soft, so it will not set in a short amount of time. Grape Mousse Grape Mousse
I had delicious grapes, so I thought I would make mousse with them. This mousse is very moist, so it's fluffy and smooth, my favorite combination.I used Dole 100% grape juice.I used sheet gelatin. If you are using powdered gelatin, use five times more water to dissolve. If you use small grapes you don't have to cut them in half, but you should take the seeds out if they bother you. Jiggly Agar Grape Jello Jiggly Agar Grape Jello
I had lots of kyoho grapes, so I made grape jello using kyoho grapes!I like the texture of jello using agar, so I always use it.The agar won't harden unless you bring it to a boil, so make sure to boil it. If it doesn't solidify, then transfer it back into a pot, and boil again. Gelatin does not solidify well if boiled, so check out this recipe if using gelatin! For 10 servings. Chunky Kyoho Grape Jam Chunky Kyoho Grape Jam
I received a bunch of Kyoho grapes for free. The amount of sugar is 10 g to every 100 g of grapes with skin and seeds (in a 1:10 ratio), so adjust it according to the amount of grapes you use.Grapes will fall apart if you don't treat them gently, so be careful not to stir too much. Grape Tart with Red Wine Jelly Grape Tart with Red Wine Jelly
I wanted to make a tart that reflected the season. I tried really hard to poke out the seeds with a toothpick, but wasn't able to remove them well. So I placed the grapes on top, but it turned out they were actually seedless.A tart with just grapes didn't look all that impressive, so I added red wine jelly. Please adjust the baking time for the tart according to your household oven.I had some leftover crème diplomat, which is made by mixing heavy cream and custard cream, so it might be good to make 1/2~2/3 the amount called for. Or you can use the leftovers for another sweet... I used red wine jelly for the finishing touch, but if the jelly is liquid after adding the wine, chill it in the refrigerator for a bit so that it's easier to work with before pouring it on the tart.
