Pico de gallo is also called salsa fresca, salsa bandera and salsa cruda. It is a type of salsa commonly used in Mexican cuisine. It is traditionally made from chopped tomato, onion and serrano peppers with salt, lemon juice and coriander. Pico de gallo can be used in much the same way as other Mexican liquid salsas. As it is a little dry, it can also be used in dishes like tacos and fajitas. It tastes great served with nachos.
