Chapathi/Roti - Soft version

This is a common dish prepared at all homes. But some face a difficulty in making the Roti soft. Even I was facing the same. But now I follow this recipe and it is always soft :) Looks simple as you do but should strictly follow the steps!

Ingredients

30 mins
2-serving
  1. 1 Cupwheat flour
  2. 11/2 Tablespoonsoil
  3. water
  4. salt
  5. ghee

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the flour with salt and 1 Tbsp oil well.

    Pour water to this mixture little by little. Mix it very well each time.

    Stop pouring water once u feel the dough started getting sticky but not too much.

    Now spread a little oil in the vessel to to avoid stickiness and knead the dough very well. -- This is the important step, you have to knead it very well to get the Roti soft! Let it rest for 10 minutes covered.

    Now get the balls out of it, spread it [use flour if u feel it is sticking], cook each on tawa.

    Optional: Once all the Rotis are done, spread ghee. And serve!

Welcome all to my area of cooking!Here u will find recipes which is very well homely, tested by myself and my family or friends. I have started experimenting with food but most of them u find here are creations by my grandma, mom and mother-in-law who are expertise in this field.. and some from other cooking labs.
