Onion Soup

This is low calorie DIET food (100 cals per serving +1½ portion of over5aday) but is still a great filler and onions are really good for you. You can prepare in advance and chill or freeze and re-heat in the microwave so it can be quite portable.

Sig's Onion soup with Brandy, #myfavouriterecipes Sig's Onion soup with Brandy, #myfavouriterecipes
beautiful onion soup, I am cooking this tomorrow . #myfavouriterecipesI love the deep caramelised taste of french onion soup , so here I have recreated this soup , it most certainly is worth the time and effort, hope you enjoy too. You can use different cheeses as I have done this time as it needed using up, if you wish. In the olden days in France the bread soaked up almost all of the liquid and it was meant to be that way. So if you want to eat it like that, more like a thick onion and cheese bread pudding then go ahead, it's awesome. Sigrun -

Easy Tummy Soup Easy Tummy Soup
We're all told that chicken noodle soup is what to eat for all ills, but when it's your tummy that's the problem, a high fat soup with egg noodles is often the last thing you need. This is for those times.Note: This is a first draft recipe - we all have the stomach flu here to varying degrees. This recipe was created on the fly, so measurements are loose and will be tightened up the next time I do it! emilie.deseree -

Shrimp Wonton Soup Shrimp Wonton Soup
I love wonton soup! This is one of my comfort foods. I found this recipe on the web quite awhile ago on "Damn Delicious". I made a couple of alterations but not much. This an afternoon project. Sitting at my dining room table, watching TV and making wontons. I lay them out on sheet trays lined with parchment paper and freeze what I don't use for dinner that night. The frozen ones I put in freezer bags in dinner size portions for future dinners or lunch.I would give instructions on how to wrap them, but the package of wontons gives really good instructions. I will say, make sure you get all the air out when you seal the or they will burst when you cook them.Hope you enjoy. 🙂 Angie -

Easy Egg Drop Soup Easy Egg Drop Soup
This recipe really is simple. It's light tasing and delightful to boot.I do not add any salt to this recipe for two reasons.1. I use salted broth anyway so I don't feel the need.2. Adding salt when using cornstarch can result in the dish actually NOT thickening up properly. Especially if the salt is added after the cornstarch. StephieCanCook -
