Cheese-Flavored Okara Crackers in the Microwave

Okara is so nutritious and yet extremely cheap. I'm trying to make all sorts of things with it.
It lets out lots of steam when microwaving. Make sure to get rid of any steam or water so that the result will be dry and crispy. For 1 to 2 persons' worth. Recipe by Nyanson

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Combine all ingredients except for the vegetable oil. Mix so that the water from the okara blends evenly with the other ingredients. There's no need to dry-roast the okara.
- 2
Add vegetable oil and stir until smooth. Gather into one lump. Press it down with the back of a spoon, or use your hands.
- 3
Cover your workplace with parchment paper and spread out the dough to about 3 mm thick. Poke in holes with a fork.
- 4
Microwave for 5 minutes. Take it out when it's half-done, and chop into desired sizes. (*Leave the microwave open to expel the humidity.)
- 5
(*Wipe water droplets in the microwave.) Flip it over and microwave for another 3 to 4 minutes. Set aside to cool, and they're done.
- 6
[Variation] Add herbs or aonori seaweed if you like!

Okara Cookies in a Microwave with Dashida Flavor Okara Cookies in a Microwave with Dashida Flavor
I put this as a microwave version recipe in Easy Oven-baked Okara Cookies without special tools. COOKPAD staff asked me to make this as a separate recipe since this version is made without sugar. Our microwave is small so I use a small (18 x 25cm) plastic bag. If you use a bigger bag, you can roll the cookies out thinner and reduce the cooking time maybe?Take the browned cookies out of the microwave oven and just keep microwaving the still soft ones, or turning the dough over, until all the cookies are crunchy. Okara Cheesecake in the Microwave Okara Cheesecake in the Microwave
I love Cookpad user akiaki-san's [Okara Steamed Bread with a Rice Cooker or Microwave]. I came up with this when I was playing around with her recipe. I also referred to another Cookpad user's cheesecake recipe for hints as well.*Use processed cheese of the non-melting type. Some varieties (Mini Babybel cheese, sliced cheese, etc...) are harder to melt, but I mix it into the dough even if it's not completely melted. *If you boil the milk too much, it'll evaporate and eventually reduce, so try to keep an eye on it. Add more milk if necessary. (Refer to the photo in Step 4 for how it's supposed to look like.) *This recipe uses the minimum amount of sugar, so please adjust to your liking. For the size of 1 carton of milk (1 l or 1 quart). Recipe by Rinkachan cookpad.japan -
Easy Crunchy Okara Crackers Easy Crunchy Okara Crackers
I want to eat snacks even when I'm on a diet, so I came up with this recipe because I can make them easily, they are inexpensive to make, healthy, and packed with fiber.Use seasonings of your choice, and adjust the amounts of the seasonings to taste. They will be crunchy if you microwave them until they are light brown. If you don't heat them enough, the texture will be soft, not crunchy. If you overheat them, they will burn. Open the door of the microwave several times while microwaving the crackers to get rid of the steam. Recipe by Nekoruru cookpad.japan -

Since it doesn't use sugar and the amounts are different, COOKPAD asked me to make it a separate recipe. Our microwave oven is small, so I use a small (18 x 25 cm) plastic bag. If you use a larger bag you can roll the dough out thinner and it may bake faster, maybe? Crunchy Macrobiotic Sesame and Okara Crackers Crunchy Macrobiotic Sesame and Okara Crackers
I can't stop eating until I'm full, and that's why I made these crackers with okara. These are also great with cream cheese, and are perfect to be served with wine .The amount of liquid depends on the kind of okara you use. If it's too dry to spread out, please add some water. If it's too damp, try adding more whole wheat flour. It won't turn out tasty if it's baked too long or if it's undercooked. It's important to keep an eye on them while they're baking. Easy in the Microwave Chewy Okara Dumplings Easy in the Microwave Chewy Okara Dumplings
I wanted to make chewy and filling dumplings easily. When you take the mixture out of the microwave, it will be hot, but make sure you knead it well until springy. This will give them a much nicer finish. If you let the dough dry out, you'll end up with dry dumplings, so make sure you wrap it tightly with plastic wrap. Recipe by kaonyanco cookpad.japan -
Cheese Mochi in the Microwave Cheese Mochi in the Microwave
When we eat mochi for New Years, I always make it like this.My mother used to make it for me when I was a child. I love it even more than I like mochi cakes in soup. You don't have to wrap the mochi cakes in nori seaweed, and you only need 1 plate. This is easy, so you can have mochi even in the morning. In addition, by using plastic wrap the mochi won't get stuck to the plate, so cleanup is easy. Recipe by yakopuyo cookpad.japan -

Cheese-flavored Okara Cookies for Dieters Cheese-flavored Okara Cookies for Dieters
I'm on a diet, so I've been researching ways to make food with diet-friendly okara. I switched my breakfast to these cookies and soy milk or vegetable juice, and lost 4 kg in only a month. You won't get tired with these cookies since the cheese-flavor is so tasty.Be careful not to burn yourself when mixing the warm okara. Feel it with your hands and let it cool as you mix. Though, if it cools down too much, it won't mix with the cheese. If you don't mind the calories, you can add a bit more cheese to make the dough much easier to handle and the cookies a lot .
