  3. 1 tablespoonjeera
  4. 1 tablespoonpepper
  5. 1/4 teaspoonmethi seeds
  6. 1 tablespoonraw rice
  7. 1 tablespoonturmeric powder
  8. 2 cupsdhaniya powder
  9. 2 cupsred chilli powder
  10. 1 teaspoonhing
  11. 1Lemon size tamarind ball
  12. 3drumstick full
  13. 3 teaspoonsambahar powder
  14. 1/4 cupcooked toor dal
  15. 2 teaspoonghee
  16. 1/2 teaspoonmustard seeds
  17. 1/2 teaspoonchana dal
  18. 2-3methi seeds
  19. handfulCurry leaves
  20. 1/2 teaspoonhing
  21. as per taste Salt

Cooking Instructions

    Dry roast all the pulses and keep aside first then add turmeric powder to the same plate.

    In a bowl add Dhaniya,powder chilli powderAnd give it a mix.

    No mix all the pulses, hing in a mixie jar to make a powder then Incorporate the above mixture of dhaniya powder and chilli powder.

    Sambar powder is ready.

    In a pressure pan add chopped drumsticks that’s 1 inch long with three spoons of Sambar powder and pressure cook it for one whistle.

    To this add tamarind water squeezed from a lemon sized tamarind and then boil it for five minutes to this add cooked toor dal that is pressure cook for four Whistle. Now add salt to taste and let it simmer for two minutes then switch off the stove.

    Take ghee in a pan add mustard seeds Chana dal and methi seeds with Hing And curry leaves. Add this tadka to the Sambar. Served with hot rice.
