I taught myself how to make chapati through observation,I remember the first chapatis we made with bro😅. Since then I did it continously and just got used to it. It's very simple and easy when you follow your recipe right.
Here is how I've been preparing mine ever since.

Pour the flour into a basin create a hole in the flour
Pour in the warm water with carrots bit by bit to the hole and knead inwards.
Knead till it forms a sticky firm dough - 3
Add 35mls cooking oil and continue kneading till oil is well incorporated into the dough.
- 4
Cover your dough with a clean piece of cloth for at least 30mins
As you prepare your source of heat and working surface - 5
For your chapatis to be in layers when cooked, you have to make dough balls which you'll use to roll your dough to circular small shapes.
Spread flour on your working surface.
Spread your dough on top of the flour.
Make a big circle dough.
Spread 2 tablespoon on top of the dough and spread evenly.
Cut the dough into small strips
Role each strip to make a roll.
Place each role aside, ensuring that they don't get in touch with each other. - 6
The rolls should be like these ones.
I'll share I tip on how to make the rolls. - 7
Cover your rolls with a clean piece of cloth.
Let it rest for 10mins - 8
Pre heat your pan.
Roll each roll into a neat circular shape. - 9
Bring roll to your preheated pan
Cook both sides
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the top part of your chapati and spread evenly.
Turn and do the same to the other part.
Cook your chapatis under moderate heat so thag they don't burn - 10
Do the step 9 to each role.
Till the last one,
Ensure you have a serviet placed on the surface of your storage place to prevent the chapatis from being wet from the moisture.
Cover with a lid so that they don't dry up. - 11
Serve hot 😋.
With some nice stew

Flat Indian Bread: Chapati Flat Indian Bread: Chapati
At first I could only make tough, not very good chapatis. But by adding more water, kneading the dough well, and letting it rest, I was able to make tender and delicious ones. The amount of water indicated is a guideline only. Please adjust the amount depending on the dough. If the dough is too hard, the chapatis will be hard and dry and not very good. Even if the dough seems too soft, it will improve after resting it, so don't worry. Recipe by hinata cookpad.japan -

In Southern India, curry is eaten with rice, and in Northern India, it's eaten with naan. But throughout the country, chapati is eaten at home! They can be eaten on their own, too!!Let the dough rest a while after kneading. If there is any leftover dough, divide it into single serving amounts, wrap in plastic wrap, seal in a freezer bag, then freeze them to be able to bake up some chapati any time!
