Beef stew Beef stew
I must admit this recipe is really for a beef pie, but the insides where so good, why not just have the insides!! I think it qualifies for stew!! You can cook the first part in a skillet but you do need a Dutch oven to complete it. It is rather fiddly to make but I guarantee you'll be happy with the results. Props to my hubby as well for the photography as usual!! kokomayla -
Instant Pot Beef Stew Instant Pot Beef Stew
Mina loves beef stew in the winter because it makes her think of her native chorba. I love Mina all the time because she is the love of my life. This is the simplest version of an instant pot beef stew I could come up with. Honestly the hominy is the only “interesting” part. But this dish isn’t trying to be interesting. It is trying to be warm, filling, and easy to cook.¡Buen Provecho!SK Scott Kane -

It’s funny... I made some chili last week. As I was thinking in my head, “What the hell goes in chili”? I started saying, “Wait, no. This is sounding like a beef stew”. So... I decided to make a beef stew now. It’s cold now and these dishes warm the soul. I never appreciated beef stew when I was younger. But I realize how fine of a dish it is in my older age haha. Karl -

I don't like ready-made hashed beef stew roux and consomme, so I made my own with common ingredients. My husband and kids told me it's easy to eat and they love it.Once you are used to this homemade taste, you can't go back to ready-made roux.If you prefer darker colour, stir-fry the flour in the pan until it becomes brown before adding it. Since the seasons have disappeared, we don’t see fall, winter, summer or spring. In one day you can actually see all the seasons for example this morning it was raining and then we had a hale storm and now it sunny and quite nice 🙂 no snow yet but I did see in the weather forecast something about a snowstorm coming our way Thursday or Friday.I started this post a couple of months ago, well I had just written the title and never got back to it but today was going to be the day that I made this delicious stew along with the homemade noodles. If you really like to make your own noodles I will post the recipe at a later date for anyone that would like to try it. Comfort food for the heart and soul a delicious dish with potatoes, carrots, and a bit of white wine. 🙂 Foodzesty -
