This is the same macaroni salad that my Mom made. She was born in 1916. This recipe is that old.

This is the same macaroni salad that my Mom made. She was born in 1916. This recipe is that old.
Cooking Instructions

Hard boil eggs.
- 2
Pre cook pasta using al dente instructions and chill. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to water prior to cooking.

Slice eggs and add to chilled pasta.
- 4
Grate carrots and add to bowl.
- 5
Slice dill pickles, olives, green onions and add to other ingredients.
- 6
Add mayo and seasonings. Stir to blend ingredients and mayo. It's salad! Chill in the refrigerator and serve later as a side dish with BBQ.

My mother in law introduced me to this salad. The large amount of pickles and eggs is what makes this salad so good.Be sure to make plenty of dressing. Error on the side of making this salad a bit too wet. As it sits, this salad will absorb a lot of the dressing, making it dry if you do not use enough.
