Ingredients

  1. 2 bunchesspinach
  2. 8-10paneer cubes
  3. 1black cardamom
  4. 4-5cloves
  5. 4-5 pepper corns
  6. 1bay leaf
  7. 1 ” cinnamon stick
  8. 1 tspcumin seeds
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. 2green chillies
  11. to tasteRed chilli powder
  12. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  13. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  14. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  15. 1tomato
  16. 1 tbspghee or mustard oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Clean soft spinach leaves. Leaves shouldn’t be chopped small.
    In this particular recipe, spinach leaves are kept little big and final sabzi is with gravy as it's eaten with rice.

    Take a wok
    Add ghee
    Add cumin seeds
    When they crackle add all whole spices and stir till fragrant.

    Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder
    Add chopped tomatoes
    Let them be mushy a bit
    Add chopped spinach leaves and cover so that they get cooked and be tender.

    Add little water too to make the gravy.
    Once spinach is cooked well add paneer cubes and cook again so that everything gets incorporated well.

    Sprinkle garam masala when it's done and serve with steamed rice
