Sweet potato maple bacon hash

I created this recipe after my nephew Evan brought back some spices from Africa, the journey for my taste buds has been great. If you do not have Mitmita then you can use a little cayenne pepper. Thanks Evan.
Cooking Instructions

Cook bacon in an iron skillet until done
- 2
Add onion to bacon fat and cook until softened. Add sweet potato and spices, stir and cover with lid. Stir occasionally until potatoes are tender.

Remove lid when potatoes are tender and add bacon, brown potatoes. Be careful because the potatoes will burn due to high sugar content. When done to you liking drizzle in some maple syrup and serve warm.

Whilst this cake is nice and smooth, the best thing about it is it's delicious natural sweet potato taste.-Make sure to mix in the butter and sugar whilst the potato is still hot.-Feel free to adjust the sweetness of this dish.-If you don't have a pastry brush, you can drizzle the egg yolks over and then use the back of the spoon to spread it instead. Sweet Potato Bread
This is my favorite bread that I've been making for many years.The dough is soft. Use 190 ml water and dust your workspace with a little flour if it's difficult to handle. I decided to make tarts with sweet potatoes so that it's easy to carry when giving it away as a gift.Adding cinnamon to the tart crust is optional, omit it if you wish I think there will be leftovers of the sweet potato mixture when using a 18 cm tart pan, so roll it up into balls of preferred sizes to bake with the tart. Though my mom did most of the cooking when we were kids, every once in a while, my dad would take to the kitchen to make one of his three signature dishes which were:1) kimchi jjigae,2) kimchi fried rice, and3) kalbi.Well, one of those plus a huge mess.Of the three, I think his kimchi fried rice was my favorite. Maybe it's because I remember sitting at the bapsang with nothing but a huge wokful of fried rice and as many spoons as there were people eating, and just digging in until we were all stuffed. Definitely because it was just so tasty - the simple deliciousness of pork belly or bacon, and sauteed and slightly caramelized ripe kimchi, all tossed with yesterday's rice and a little bit of sugar, soy sauce and gochujang to make it even spicier.Delicious memories!As with most fried rice recipes, stale rice works best. So the next time you have Chinese, Thai, Korean or Japanese takeout, you might want to save your leftover steamed rice to make this dish later in the week. Also, while some people like to make their kimchi fried rice with fresh kimchi, I personally like it much, MUCH, better with the ripe, sour stuff.

Helloooo everyone, How was everyones week? Mine was filled with so many things, I was not able to post this Sweet Potato Soup recipe on Friday. 🙂 I guess you already know that I will mention the weather again, 🙂 Fall has finally arrived along with the chilly days and nights. 🙂I made Sweet Potato Soup with some fresh Veggies, and since I was going over to my friend’s house to help out with something and I was absolutely going to bring her a bowl of soup for her to try. She does work in the mornings so it was so nice to hear her say that she was HUNGRY…:) Sandra was actually the first one to try my soup, and she loved it!!! I've been making these since my kids were small. It's a simple cake that you can make in one pot. Please enjoy this old lady's delicious sweet potatoes.Use the heat from boiling the sweet potatoes to melt the butter and dissolve the sugar. When you add in the egg, it's okay if the potatoes are still a little warm!The total amount of oil + butter is 40 g. The sugar + honey also equals 40 g. Bria's apple bacon meatloaf
I have never liked meatloaf so I had never made it before. A few years ago I asked my husband what he wanted me to make for dinner on his birthday. He asked for meatloaf and told me to make it any way I wanted to. So I searched the fridge and pulled out what I thought would taste good in it and then decided to top it with bacon instead of ketchup. It turned out amazing. I served it with baked apples, ranch potatoes and fresh green beans. Hubby mixes his food and when he mixed the meatloaf with the baked apples he made everyone try it and I've been making it that way ever since.

I even put a different kind of cheese in the eggs , that’s why I make it the omelette way. You can do any kind of egg... fried egg on this is good too. can make this meat less as well or substitute for sausage patties or a thin steak with steak seasoning. Kabocha squash and sweet potatoes are similar, so I used the kabocha squash salad they sell at the deli counters in a department store food hall as inspiration.The sweet potatoes should be on the soft side.
