#repurstate. Peanut bars (kuli kuli) is a locally made snack especially in the northern part of Nigeria. Originally made from Peanuts/groundnuts. The bars will then be grind into powdered form and used as thickner in making soups. Growing up from a humble background in North you can't help learning peanut soup.

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1 cuppowdered peanut bars
  2. Chopped green vegetable
  3. 1 tbspLocusts Bean
  4. 1 piecemedium size dried fish
  5. 1cooking spoon of red oil
  6. 1 tspnutmeg,
  7. 1 tspginger powder,
  8. 1 tbspdried chilli pepper
  9. 1onion bulb
  10. Seasoning to taste

Cooking Instructions

    In a pot add two cups of water+ onions, locust bean, spices and seasoning and bring to boil. Then thicken your soup with the the grounded peanut according to the consistency you want. Allow to boil for like 5 min. Shredd the fish and add, allow for 2 min. Add the vegetables and red oil allow to simmer for couple of minutes then done. Serve with semolina, tuwon shinkafa or even white rice.
