Ingredients

  1. 4 cupsRice (I use basmati)
  2. 1 kgChicken
  3. 1 cupOil
  4. 1 tbspGinger garlic paste
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. 1 tbspRed chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tbspCoriander powder
  8. 1/2 tbspCumin powder
  9. 1/2 tspAll spices powder
  10. 1/2 tbspTurmeric powder
  11. 1 1/2 tbspAll spices whole
  12. 1 tbspYellow food colour
  13. 2 pinchSaffron
  14. 1 tspKewra water
  15. 100 gmPlum(aloo bukhara)
  16. 200 gmTomatoes thinly sliced
  17. 4-6Green chilli (cut into pieces)
  18. Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  19. 1 cupOnion (fried)

Cooking Instructions

    Soak rice for 1/2 hour. Put all sliced vegetables separate and mix them.

    In a pot fry ginger garlic paste. When it gets brown add 2 glass of water and then chicken. In other pot put rice to get boil.

    When chicken water gets started to boil,add all spices except yellow colour, kewara water and saffron. Add all mix vegetables including plum and in the end add saffron, kewra water and yellow colour.

    Add 1/2 of the half cooked rice to the pot and let it cook for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes add leftover rice. Cover it and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

    Yummy biryani is ready, don't mix all rice. Serve with raita and salad.
