Easy Sausage Bread

I love sausage bread. I like to eat it in various ways.
I revised the recipe a little. You can place the sausages on the dough after the second rising like I used to! I used to make these rolls with skewered sausages.
I found a perfect sausage for this, so I make 8 rolls with them. Recipe by Mimimiccho

Cooking Instructions
- 1
These sausages are a recent discovery, from Marudai Ham! A packet has 8 perfectly sized sausages. And they're delicious.
- 2
Measure out the ingredients and put them in a bread machine. Put the dry yeast in the yeast compartment. Select the "dough" program and switch the machine on.
- 3
When the dough has been kneaded, take it out without letting it rise yet. It will look a bit sad at this point.
- 4
Round it off into a smooth ball, place in a bowl with the seam side down, and leave for the 1st rising. It takes 60 to 70 minutes at 30°C.
- 5
When the dough has doubled in volume it's done. Test it by poking it with a moistened finger - the hole should remain without filling back in.
- 6
Press gently to deflate the dough.
- 7
Divide the dough into 8 pieces, round off each piece and leave to rest for 10 minutes.
- 8
Roll out each piece with a rolling pin into an oval shape.
- 9
Place the dough sideways, and fold in the top and bottom edges towards the middle.
- 10
Pinch the edges of the dough tightly closed.
- 11
Press out lightly with the palms of your hands, fold in half, and pinch the top and bottom seams closed. Roll with your hands to form a long rope.
- 12
Pinch the ends together to form a ring. Place seam side down.
- 13
Press the sausages firmly into the hole, and line the rolls up on a kitchen parchment paper lined baking tray. Leave to rise at 30°C for 30 to 40 minutes (2nd rising).
- 14
Start preheating the oven to 180°C just before the rolls finish rising. When the rolls have doubled in volume they're ready to bake.
- 15
Top with as much ketchup and mayonnaise as you like.
- 16
Bake in a 180°C oven for 15 minutes. Cool the baked rolls on a rack.

Sausage Bread Using a Bread Machine Sausage Bread Using a Bread Machine
I like sausage bread so I make them often, but twisting the dough around the sausages is pretty hard. So I thought up an easy but still attractive way to make the rolls.I always pay attention to how much the dough rises. The rolls may look complicated, but they are actually easy. I used to use sausages on skewers or use two small ones at once before I found these sausages. These ones have 8 per package, and are just right for making this sausage bread. Innovative Sausage Bread Innovative Sausage Bread
I was sick of making sausage bread in the same old boring shape, and wanted to make something different.Since the sausages might release some grease, use aluminum cups. Make sure to tightly connect the edges of the dough so it doesn't fall apart. If you twist the dough evenly, it will look very nice. Recipe by pitachan1 cookpad.japan -
Sausage Bread with Basil Sausage Bread with Basil
-I had a bunch of homemade dried basil and wiener sausages I bought on sale.-Plain wiener sausage bread is delicious as-is, but I felt like jazzing it up a little.-Adjust the amount of dried basil to taste. If you love basil, go ahead and increase the amount.-It's important not to hesitate when making cuts into the dough in Step 6! As I mention in Step 4, be sure to dust the dough if it's difficult to handle.-Moisture could condense on the sausages after taking them out of the refrigerator and bringing to room temperature. Wipe off any moisture before using them. For 6 rolls. Recipe by putimiko cookpad.japan -
Wiener Sausage Bread Rolls Using a Bread Machine Wiener Sausage Bread Rolls Using a Bread Machine
Since I love wiener sausage bread rolls, I made some.I used a "MKHDBー100" bread machine. *I used the "bread dough" program, with 1 hour for the 1st rising. When you check the dough during that time and it's already doubled in volume, you don't need to wait for the whole hour. You can remove the dough from the machine at that point. Make sure to cover the dough not being handled during Step 4, 5,6 so that it doesn't dry out. When you are slashing the tops, if you wet the tip of a knife, it won't stick to the dough and it's easier to make clean cuts. Please be careful not to slash the bread too deeply. Old-Fashioned Fish Sausage Fried Bread Old-Fashioned Fish Sausage Fried Bread
As of late I haven't been able to get fish sausage bread, like I used to eat when I was a kid, so I made them myself. The came out even better then the ones I used to buy (maybe because they are fresh?)Keep the dough covered with plastic wrap or a dishcloth to prevent it from drying out.You only need about 4 cm of frying oil. If using that amount, just make sure to move them around a bit so they fry nice and evenly.I used Nissei brand fish sausages this time. Recipe by Homard Ebiko cookpad.japan -
Wiener Sausage Bread Wiener Sausage Bread
This is my family's favorite snack bread. My kids love to eat wiener sausage bread or even just wieners, so I made this bite-sized version.Be sure to wrap the wieners up tightly in the dough (this is so they don't burst out while baking!)I used aluminum cups (size 10 at the 100 yen shop).
