Ingredients

  1. 500 gramsYoung green plums
  2. 400 gramsRock sugar
  3. 750 mlVodka

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

I used rock sugar bought at a Chinese food specialty shop and 40 proof vodka.

  2. 2

The plums were sold as "young plums." I found them at a Middle Eastern food grocery.

  3. 3

Boil and dry your container to sterilize. Another way to sterilize is to put a little water in your container, and boil it for 30 seconds to 1 minute in the microwave.

  4. 4

Rinse the plums well and let sit in water for 2 to 3 hours, then pierce with holes.

  5. 5

If the stem remain, use a toothpick to remove them.

  6. 6

Add plums and rock sugar in layers, and then fill with vodka.

  7. 7

You can drink it after around 3 months, but after about half a year, it will mature and be ready to serve.
