Easy Pork Miso Soup

This is based off my mother's recipe that I now prepare for my family. It's seasoned with mentsuyu, so there's no need to use dashi stock.

The tip is to add the miso soup without letting the pot boil.

Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 2Potatoes
  2. 1Carrot
  3. 1/2 blockTofu
  4. 1/2pack Maitake mushrooms
  5. 1Aburaage
  6. 1/2pack Konnyaku
  7. 200 gramsPork
  8. 50 mlA: Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
  9. 700 mlA: Water
  10. 3 tbspA: Sake
  11. 1 cloveA: Garlic
  12. 2cm A: Ginger
  13. 1 tbspB: white miso
  14. 1 tspB: Red miso
  15. 1 pinchB: Soy sauce
  16. 1 pinchB: Salt
  17. 1Ichimi spice

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the vegetables, shred the maitake, and dice the tofu. Parboil the aburaage and konnyaku, then slice the aburaage.

    Make a slit in the middle of konnyaku, put one end into the cut and twist.

  3. 3

    These knots are cute in the soup.

  4. 4

    Put the ingredients and A ingredients into a pot, and cook for about 20 minutes.

    When the soup comes to the boil, add the B ingredients and cook for about 3-5 minutes.
