Ingredients

45 minute Stovetop
2-4 People
  1. 1 lbGround Beef
  2. 1Large Onion, Chopped
  3. 1 TbspGarlic
  4. 15 ouncescan diced tomatoes of choice variety
  5. 2 cansKidney Beans
  6. 2 tspChili Powder
  7. 2 tspCumin
  8. 1/2 tspGarlic Powder
  9. 1/4 tspCayenne Pepper
  10. 1/4 tspRed Pepper Flakes
  11. 1/4 tspBlack Pepper
  12. 1 Cupbrown Sugar
  13. 2 CupsBeef Brooth
  14. 2 TbspTomato Paste l

Cooking Instructions

45 minute Stovetop

    Add Ground Beef and Onions to Medium Sized Pot and Brown Beef and Onion for about 10 minutes

    Drain Grease

    Add 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic and heat medium high for about a minute.

    Add Diced Tomatoes, Spices, Brown Sugar, Beef Broth, Tomato Paste

  5. 5

    Heat mixture on high heat to a boil then reduce heat to simmer for 30 minutes or longer.

    This can be made with a Slow Cooker/Crockpot. Brown Beef, Onions and Garlic. Drain. Add the rest of the ingredients. High 3-4 hours. Low 6-8 hours.

    Garnish Ideas:
    sour cream
    shredded cheddar cheese
    chopped green onions
    chopped white onions
    cilantro, for Tex-Mex flavor
    lime wedges, for Tex-Mex flavor
    tortilla chips, for Tex-Mex flavor
