Ingredients

  1. 5fingers ripe plantain
  2. 8medium snails
  3. 3spring onions
  4. 8scotch bonnet peppers
  5. 1ball garlic (optional)
  6. 1small ginger (optional)
  7. 1 tbspyaji pepper (optional)
  8. salt
  9. cubesSeasoning
  10. Carrot
  11. Green pepper
  12. Vegetable oil

    Remove the shells and wash the snails properly till there is no more slime

  2. 2

    Add crushed ginger, garlic, yaji pepper, salt and a tablespoon of oil, mix and leave to marinate.

    Put the marinated snails in a pot, add water enough to just cover it and boil for about 40 mins

  4. 4

    While the snail is cooking, wash, peel and dice your plantains into desired shape/sizes and fry till golden brown
    Also, shred and dice your vegetables into desired sizes.

    Drain the water from the boiling snail and fry. I prefer to season my oil with onions and pepper in order to ensure that the snails are properly spiced.

    Use that same oil and fry your blended scotch peppers and season to your taste

    Combine the items in a pot. The fried snails, the fried plantains, the vegetables and the pepper sauce and mix till well combined.

    Adjust seasoning and serve as a side dish or enjoy with any beverage of choice.
