Ingredients

  1. 6 tbspoil
  2. 2 tbspginger garlic paste
  3. 2onion (sliced)
  4. 2star anise
  5. 2black cardamom
  6. 2bay leaf
  7. 4green cardamom
  8. 1 tspcumin seeds
  9. 1cinnamon stick (small)
  10. 1/2 kgbeef
  11. 2 tspred chilli powder (or to taste)
  12. 2 tspcumin powder
  13. 2 tspcoriander powder
  14. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  15. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  16. 1 tspsalt (or to taste)
  17. 1 cupyogurt
  18. 3tomatoes (medium)
  19. 3-4green chillies
  20. Fresh coriander (chopped)
  21. 1 cupwater
  22. 3 cupsrice (soaked)
  23. 1 cupwater

Cooking Instructions

    In a pot add oil, onion and fry until light golden brown.

    Add Star anise, black cardamom, bay leaf, green cardamom, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick and sauté for a min.

    Add ginger garlic paste mix well

    Add beef and mix well and cook until it's colour is change.

  5. 5

    Now add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, salt mix well and cook until it's oil is separate.

    Add yogurt and mix well.

  7. 7

    Add tomatoes mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft.

    Add water cover and cook until beef is tender (¾ done).

    Now add fresh coriander and green chillies mix well.

    Add rice, water mix well well. Add fresh coriander & fried onion on the top.

    Bring it to boil and cook on high flame until it's water is complete dry.

    Cover and dum for 10-12 mins.

    Beef tehri is ready.

    Serve hot with green chutney...!!
