I'm basically lazy... but this is actually easy and delicious!

Store in the refrigerator and just take out to use. The longer you keep it, the more flavorful the dashi will be!!
It lasts for quite a long time, so you can make it every day if you like.
Use the kombu or shiitake mushrooms used to make the dashi in simmered dishes! 2 birds, no 3 birds with 1 stone!!

Ingredients

  1. 3to 5 pieces Dried kombu
  2. 10 gramsBonito flakes
  3. 3to 6 Dried shiitake mushrooms
  4. 1enough to fill your container! Water (or hot water)

Cooking Instructions

    Make ready a container that you'd make barley tea or ice tea in. Add the ingredients in the combination of your choice, and that's it!

  2. 2

    Kombu and bonito flakes, kombu and dried shiitake mushrooms! Use any combination of ingredients you'd like.

  3. 3

    Put all the ingredients in the container, add cold or hot water, leave for about 6 hours, and voila! You have delicious dashi stock!
