Ingredients

  1. 1 tbsp.vegetable oil
  2. 1 lb.ground beef
  3. 1small diced yellow onion
  4. 2minced garlic cloves
  5. 1 tsp.cumin powder
  6. 1/4 tsp.cayenne pepper
  7. 1/2 tbsp.sweet paprika
  8. 2 tsp.chopped parsley
  9. 1 tsp.chopped fresh oregano
  10. 1 tsp.chopped fresh thyme leaves
  11. 1diced celery rib
  12. 1diced large carrot
  13. 1/2diced red bell pepper
  14. 1/2dice yellow bell pepper
  15. 1diced sweet potato
  16. 1/2 ccooked green sweet peas
  17. 1/4 c.water
  18. 2 tsp.salt
  19. 1/4 tsp.ground black pepper
  20. 20green and black olives
  21. 1 tbsp.capers
  22. 1/2 cuptomato sauce

Cooking Instructions

45 minutes

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan and brown the beef and reserve.

    In the same frying pan sauté the onions and garlic together.

  3. 3

    Add the browned beef, mix in cumin powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, parsley, oregano, thyme leaves, salt, black pepper and cook for 2 minutes.

    Add the vegetables and cook until are soft.

  5. 5

    Incorporate the tomato sauce, water, olives, and capers. Cook for 2 more minutes.

    Serve it with rice.
