Clementine rose

During the winter season I love clementine. They easy to peel and have no seeds. The segments can be eaten on their own or dipped in melted chocolate. The zest can be candied or used to flavour recipes.
Here I sliced in half the segments and arranged them in a rose pattern; topped with a maraschino cherry. Rose leaves are used for the leaves. Yes, rose leaves. One of my rose bushes still have some green leaves which I utilized here.

Rose Rasgulla Rose Rasgulla
Giving a twist to traditional rasgullas with the flavor of rose, these rose rasgullas are a must-try this season. The soft, spongy rasgullas bursting with rose flavor and syrup take the classic rasgulla to the next level and are a huge hit with my kids. Both my daughters love the color, and my husband really enjoys the spongy, sweet rasgullas. For these reasons, I have made these rose rasgullas at home many times. Xmas Chocolate Fruit Cake Pt. 1 Xmas Chocolate Fruit Cake Pt. 1
#MyCookBook2020, I decided to revamp this recipe with a bit of extra oomph without going over the top with decor or extra icing. I still prefer my cakes to be simple. Because simplicity is always the ultimate sophistication, do you agree?I will be dividing this recipe into 2 parts: soaking of fruits and baking the cake. But it will be all in the same post. I will update the 2nd part after 10 days; that is how long I am gonna soak the fruits. You can do it in 7 days. You can of cos use any types of liqueur you desire, I decided to go for Cointreau for that extra fruity punch. To make life easier, I am using a dried fruits mix from Foodsterr. You can also use any other dried fruit combinations you are fond of too. Dried cranberries, blueberries, candied lemon peels or sultanas are great options. I will see you in 10 days. Daniel Lim -

California Farm Kitchen Rose Oil Extraction California Farm Kitchen Rose Oil Extraction
When steaming rose water in our kitchen in a dutch oven and a glass bowl, a small amount of rose oil is extracted as well, and can be seperated out from the rosewater. Since most oil floats to the top when cooling the rose water, a simple fat seperator measuring cup with a bottom spout is all I use to collect the oils when i pour the rose water off. Fun fact: this 2.5 ml vial of pure rose oil sells for $65 on amazon. Enjoy. Hobby Horseman -
