  11. 1 can(300 mL)sweetened condensed milk
  12. 2 cupschocolate chips
  13. 1/2 cup salted butter

Cooking Instructions

15 prep + 25 mins
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Line a 9×13 pan with aluminum foil that covers the bottom and reaches up the sides.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, cream together both sugars (1 cup of each), 1 cup butter and 2 eggs.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl mix together the flours (1.5 cup white flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat), 1tsp of baking soda and the 3 cups of oats. Next slowly mix the flour mixture to the sugar mixture until fully incorporated.

  4. 4

Spread 3/4 of this mixture into the prepared pan.

  5. 5

In a medium saucepan, melt the fudge ingredients on medium heat, mixing until smooth.

  6. 6

Pour the chocolate mixture over the dough in the pan, then blob the remaining oat mixture on top.

  7. 7

Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 30 minutes then refrigerate. Cutting into bars the next day.

  8. 8

    Recipe Notes
Do not try to cut into the bars after they are out of the oven! That will result in a sticky mess.
