California Farm Rose Hip Syrup California Farm Rose Hip Syrup
Bring summer to your winter breakfast with Rose hip syrup on your pancakes, crepes, hot breakfast cereal, or yoghurt, or in your tea. One maple syrup size bottle is enough for a winter. The Vitamin C in rosehip syrup is gone after nine months. You can collect your own rosehips iin your garden by not cutting your dead roses in fall, and see if they develop rosehips. You can also plant rose hip bushes as a hedge, like Rosa Rugosa Alba, a hedge rose which produces the best rose hips. You can forage for rosehips in the woods, or order dried rosehips on amazon. Elderflower Syrup Elderflower Syrup
In June you can find blooming elder everywhere here. In parks, gardens or at forest borders. I love the fragrance of the umbels and they make a very fine syrup. When I go out to collct the umbels I make shure not to harvest the whole bush but to only pick three to four umbels per bush. I am very lucky to have some of these bushes in my family and friends gardens and they let me pick the flowers in exchange of some syrup. Storebought elderflower syrup is fine but it is more fun and luscious to make it yourself. Mix it with water, wine or Prosecco, add strawberries or mint or both or add a tbsp to a fruit salad.Hope you like it! Kristina K -
Lavender Honey Syrup Lavender Honey Syrup
This syrup is a crowd pleaser. The flavor of the fresh lavender pairs wonderfully with the floral notes in the raw honey for a summer beverage that is delightfully reminiscent of running through a meadow... in your mouth. It goes great in iced coffee, lemonade, champagne, kombucha or a creative summer cocktail. It also makes a great gift. Enjoy! Breeeee -

I got tired of buying Torani simple syrup at $6.00+ per bottle every week. This recipe has the same viscosity and sweetness, but has a slight coloring and will not keep as long due to not having any added preservatives. John Courtade -
